Patricia Luck, MBChB, MPhil, MSc is an assistant professor and the director of the Master’s in Medical Humanities Program and of the health humanities in medical school curriculum in the Department of Health Humanities and Bioethics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. Her research interests focus on shame, presence, and empathy in clinical encounters and the mitigating potential of interventions offered through the tools and methodologies of mindfulness and the health humanities.
