Frederic G. Reamer, PhD is a professor in the School of Social Work at Rhode Island College in Providence. He is also an instructor at the Providence (Rhode Island) Police Department Training Academy and for many years has taught the police ethics content in the curriculum. Previously, he served as a social worker in federal and state prisons and served on the Rhode Island Parole Board from 1992 to 2016. Dr Reamer’s research and publications focus on criminal justice and professional ethics.
